UPDATES

April 1, 2007

Yes, it's April Fool's day, I know.  And with no one to play pranks on, I decided to update the site... finally.

Not really much of an update, but a few things changed here and there.  Some information updated.  The forums changed a little, but that's not really important, considering that no one posts there anyway. :P

January 12, 2006

Just a small update with a new FAQ for Gears of War written by me.  Check it out if you need help with the game!

And yes, before anyone asks, that big update I'm talking about (entire site rewrite in HTML) is still in progress... it will come eventually (heh heh, will come eventually =P).

November 14, 2006

Working on getting the website up....  Better....  I'm working on a complete, not templated HTML document as we speak.  Hard work....  Thus, it will take me a while.  This, along with the Cahara storyline, is something I hope to have done in time for the Winter EXPO.  If I can enter the EXPO with just my story (heh) then I will get an increase in traffic, and thus, more hits.  However, I doubt I will get it finished that fast....  Maybe by the Summer EXPO?

November 5, 2006

I updated this website.  I wanted to work a lot more on it, but I don't have the time.  For the one person that comes here probably monthly to see if anything's new, you're in luck!

July 26, 2006

I made this website....  The old one can be found by clicking here !  This is basically a remake and an attempt to make the website better.  The forums are also up, go check them out!  Other than that, nothing really much to update about, despite the fact that this is the first.

POLLS

HISTORY

2000 - MattSoftware started as a site where you could view songs for download. These are songs inumattsha uploaded. This was back when mp3 downloads were legal. The site was also a Yu-Gi-Oh! fansite.

2001 - mp3s are removed from the site because it took up a lot of space and Yu-Gi-Oh! is removed because Yu-Gi-Oh!... well it just ain't cool no more. MattSoftware remains an empty site for a few months. Then I stumble upon the toolkit. I started making games that never got finished. A five minute game about a little kid who wanted to get his girlfriend back from his rival using everything default was my first game. It was a humble game. A game to see what the toolkit could do, see if it suited my needs. It did. That game was never released. Started working in sequel to Final Fantasy 8. It was never finished, because I decided I didn't want to do a sequel. I want to make my own games, not Square's.

2002-2003- Bunches of different games were made in 2002, but never released. Until early 2003, when Scott and Jessica (who have their own history I might do later) came along. It was based on a book and manga that I had started making. All custom graphics (so they sucked, now that I look back on it), but default everything else. It went well, and a demo release was attempted. I didn't know that Mystic Software hosted your games. I would've had my first game release by now if I had known. But I didn't. After I ran into a lot of bugs and it became increasingly hard to implement the story from the books, the game was trashed in late 2003. Great X-mas present.

2004 - Here we go, Dragon Warriors! A game that started off for a few months with custom everything. Hence, it sucked. Well, while working on that game I was working on Dragon Warriors II: Revenge of Nanak, and Dragon Warriors Tactics. It was all... crap. So in turn, it was all deleted. I tried my hand at a tactics battle system, and made a decent, workable, still crappy, Final Fantasy Tactics wannabe tactical battle system. It was not near completed, as it only supported moving and normal attacks- no special moves or even items. All this was trashed. Fantasy Warriors was born, with the promise to finish a game this time. I worked on the beginning, downloading TK 3.3 or something like that and making a little beginning. Then when late 2004 comes in.... I stop visiting TKZ, and stopped making games.

2005 - I still stop. Then TK3.6 came out, and I heard about it. I downloaded it and moved FW over to it. But I had forgotten most of this... and some of the new stuff I never even learned! So, The Crystal Sword was born, to relearn this stuff, so I can continue FW, the game I promised to finish.  However, FW was never finished for various reasons....  And then late 2005 (Xbox 360 era) rolls around....

2006 - Cahara.  Cahara.  Simple, one word: Cahara.  This game has been through a lot with me, almost as much as Fantasy Warriors and Scott and Jessica had.  This is the game, the one game, that I will finish.  I look to the future after Cahara... what MattSoftware games does it hold?  However, that is the future, not the present, and the present is where I need to concentrate - concentrate on Cahara.

Welcome to MattSoftware!

At MattSoftware, everything is centered around your enjoyment.  Otherwise, I wouldn't be here right now typing this!  Look around, and enjoy your stay.

What will you find here, you ask?

The answer is anything!  I'm trying to base this website off of multiple things, but right now you will find:
1. Information on all MattSoftware games, including:

   1a. Cahara

2. Information on the books I am writing, including:
   2a. New Hope

3. Information on my rap career. :P

4. A fun, clean community

5. Skateboarding Information (Off and On, this really depends on how much I've been skating recently... ;) )

6. InuYasha Fandom (Again, this isn't a main focus of MattSoftware, but being a fan, occasional InuYasha stuff will pop up, no doubt)

7. Video Game Fandom!  I am a huge fan of various games, including Final Fantasy and Grand Theft Auto.  At the least, various information will pop up here and there relating to this topic.

8. More!  Perhaps I'm brain dead right now and didn't list something!  This will be updated all the time so your next visit may be different than this one!

Please Enjoy Your Stay!

If you have found any problems with my website or you want to comment, do so!  Click here to send me an email! But I don't want to hear any comments on foul language and the like, this website is rated T for Teen, as it may contain language and other, non-G rated things.  And be warned when reading fanfics, they may have R-rated fanfics!

Video of the... Since the Last Time I Decided to Update

Lol, had no better title.  I knew this wouldn't be a daily thing, and even if it was, the traffic's not large enough currently to bother changing it daily.  At the earliest, weekly, but it may be months.

Anyway, the video won't play by default, so if for example it's a music video of a genre you don't like, you don't have to listen to it if you don't want to.

THIS... TIME PERIOD'S VIDEO:
